Safer backups and restores

• Every value in a backup file is checked before it's used, so a damaged backup can't crash Snipit.
• If something ever goes wrong, a screen offers Try again and Undo restore.
• Backup files have a size limit.
• The automatic-backup password is kept in your phone's secure key store.
• A smaller set of phone permissions.

Snipit's cards, Share Snipit and a reminder check

• New cards at the bottom of Home and Trackers: our sponsors, what's new, ways to help, this website, moving to a new phone, sponsoring Snipit.
• Share Snipit with a friend from Home.
• Settings → Check reminders: send a test notification and see what's set on your phone.
• Reminders now tell you when notifications aren't allowed yet.

Colours, breakdowns and a smaller download

• Pick a colour: Snipit green, Blue or Pink. The logo and Snipit follow.
• Break a board down by a list (like Paid with: Cash, Card, E-wallet) and use those totals in other cards.
• Savings per account on Home, Trackers and Insights.
• Folders: add boards up; duplicate and delete a board.
• Automatic backup to a folder you pick, every 7 days.
• Payment reminders on your phone.
• Paid on dates: how you pay, paid out by month, last paid.

Getting ready for Google Play

Snipit is in testing on real phones. Recent improvements:

• Choose your currency in Settings.
• Daily expense logs show clear dates, like “Thu, 15 Oct”.
• A new Home: what's due next, next month's payments, services and boards at a glance.
• Stronger backups: a password is now required.
